Filipino Martial Arts of Arnis (May)

Eskrima, Arnis, and Kali are umbrella terms for the traditional martial arts of the Philippines ("Filipino Martial Arts," or FMA) that emphasize weapon-based fighting with sticks, knives and other bladed weapons, and various improvised weapons. It also includes hand-to-hand combat, joint locks, grappling, and weapon disarming techniques.

About the Instructor: Jeff has been studying martial arts for the past 38 years. He holds a 7th degree black belt in Jujitsu, a 6th degree black belt in Arnis, and a 3rd degree black belt in Karate. He is the United States representative for the Dagooc Arnis System (DAS) from the Philippines under Grandmaster Rodel Dagooc. He has been teaching self-defense programs at Lockhaven University for the past 20 years. He currently owns and operates the Susquehanna Valley Academy of Martial Arts.
